Charlestown beach:

A small private beach covered with pebbles and not recommended.
This little village is home to 'The Tall Ships', a shipwreck museum, good pubs and excellent restaurants. A place well worth a visit but not for its beach.

Directions: Charlestown is about 1 mile from St Austell town centre.  Approach St Austell on the A390 travelling west.  Take the first left exit at the Mt Charles roundabout signposted Charlestown.  This road leads directly into the village.

There is roadside parking, a public car park.

Toilets are available.
