Melanie and Geoffrey welcome you to Trevarn,
situated on the scenic route to Falmouth, and almost opposite
Carwinion Gardens.
It is in a quiet location, with wonderful views down to Mawnan
Smith village and Maenporth, as far as the Roseland Peninsula
and beyond, towards the Eden Project and Heligan Gardens (less
than an hour by car).
Trevarn is well situated for walking the coastal path, with the
Helford River just down the road at Carwinion, and the Coastal
path ten minutes' walk away at Nansidwell beach.
We are 400yards from Mawnan Smith, where there are shops, post
office, a pub and a restaurant.

its own private bathroom.
The single bedroom is a ground floor room. As well as the single
bed, it also contains a full sized folding bed, so can
accommodate an additional child.
Each room has tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and
a remote control television.
There is also a sitting room, with a television, plus use of a
secluded garden.
Location of Trevarn

Take the A39 from Truro to the Falmouth Asda roundabout. Turn
right, go up the hill into Mabe village, then go left at the
mini-roundabout, keeping the New Inn on your left.
Follow the road past Argal Reservoir, go straight over at the
crossroads, and follow this road, which becomes Sampys Hill,
into Mawnan Smith. In the village centre fork left at the Red
Lion, into Carwinion Road.
Trevarn is less than half a mile on, to the left. If you reach
Carwinion Gardens on your right, you have gone too far.

Out & About in the Area
Trevarn is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in
a county which still visibly reminds us of its historical
importance, with many places protected in order to remain
unspoilt. With so much to offer it’s easy to get lost in such
beauty that surrounds its visitors.
Cornwall has host to some of the world’s best beaches. You can
also explore the coastline, from the rugged Lizard peninsular,
to tiny coves and ancient fishing towns.
Close to Trevarn are a number of special gardens, which are open
to the public.
On the Water
Helford River Boats offer a fleet of self-drive motor, sailing
or rowing boats for hire. Spend a day discovering the coves and
quiet beaches of this beautifully clear sea water.
Their Ferry will carry you across the water between two superb
pubs, the thatched Shipwrights Arms in the lovely old fishing
village of Helford and the famous Ferry Boat Inn at Helford
Passage, both of which offer excellent facilities for lunch
after a glorious waterside walk.
Fal River Links - From Falmouth, you can take a ferry ride to
Flushing, Truro, St Mawes or Helford, hire boats, and also visit
many of the local gardens by water.
