Just a short distance away are the ancient villages of Gerrans and Portscatho. Archaeological discoveries prove that there have been settlements here since the Bronze Age, nearly 4000 years ago.

The church at St. Gerrans is built on what is believed to have been a Celtic foundation dating back to the 6th century. Apart from its historical interest the church deserves a visit for its view. That of Nare Head and the Dodman Point, seen through the churchyard, must rate as one of the best seascapes in Cornwall.
Good local pubs serving excellent meals

Excellent walks Locally as there are throughout the Roseland Peninsula

St Mawes - just a short drive. Situated on the river Fal is a favourite with the sailing community. Very popular all year round. Boat trips including a foot passenger ferry to Falmouth.
