The Tregondale Herd of prize winning Pedigree South Devons was established in 1995 when I retained half of the Trewint herd after the dissolution of the partnership.

With my son Richard we have maintained consistent breeding with ease of calving and natural fleshing. We run 80 cows single suckled, mainly calving in the spring producing prime beef, sold to either P. Warren, Guild of Quality Butchers, Launceston or Cornish King through C.Q.L.P. at 2 years old with an average weight of 380Kg.

15 Heifers are kept for replacements and most of the remaining females are sold for breeding. 4 or 5 of the best males are kept entire to sell for breeding each year.

On the farm of 250 acres we also keep 180 sheep and grow 35 acres of cereal's for our own use.
