Thurlestone Guest House is a traditional Cornish
granite house built in 1845, tastefully modernised
with beamed ceilings retaining much of its
character, offering all the modern facilities and
comforts you would expect to make your stay an
enjoyable one.
The guest house is situated in Carbis Bay, on the
outskirts of St Ives town, the town can be reached
by footpaths, local bus or scenic railway from
Carbis Bay station.

Footpath opposite the guest house with just a 5
minute walk through a pretty wooded valley to a
large sandy beach.
Directions
Exit A30 Hayle by-pass following A3074 signs for
St.Ives. Proceed through the village of Lelant to
Carbis Bay. You will pass a convenience store on
your left and the guest house is located
approximately ¼ mile further on, next to the
newsagents.
Leaving the car behind?
Getting to Thurlestone Guest House couldn't be
easier! If you don't fancy the motorway madness then
fly from Stanstead to Newquay or take a direct train
from Paddington to Penzance (change at St Erth for
Carbis Bay). We will
pick up people from the local stations (but NOT from
Newquay)
for
a small charge or free from St Erth or
Carbis Bay. Many coach companies also run to St
Ives. Please contact us for more details.
Local Attractions
St Ives town:
One of the most popular resorts in Cornwall, a
favourite with artists made evident with all the
galleries including the Tate.
The town itself is a maze of quaint little cobbled
streets with High street shops, a wide variety of
speciality shops, a wide selection of pubs,
restaurants and tea rooms.
Four main beaches surround the town, from safe
bathing in the harbour for young children to surfing
the Atlantic rollers.
Cliff walks directly from the Thurlestone can be
enjoyed to Porthkidney Sands and Lelant to the East
and St Ives to the West.

Tariff:

All rooms are available from 3.15pm
on the day of arrival.
Rooms must be vacated by 10.00am on the day of
departure.
Under 2 years old - Free of charge
2 - 14 year olds - 50% Discount (if sharing a room
with 2 adults)
A deposit of 1 nights stay per person is required at
time of booking up to 5 nights and 2 nights stay per
person is required for 5 nights and over.
All deposits are non
refundable.

We supply: Cots, Highchairs, Baby listening and
bedding on request.
