The Willows
is a comfortable and peaceful Self-catering annex
situated in a small hamlet a few minutes away from
magnificent coastline near Tintagel. The sandy beach
of Trebarwith Strand only minutes away, is well known
for swimming, surfing and pretty rock pools.

Boscastle Harbour
The lovely coastal path, cared for by the
National Trust, abundant with flowers, passes nearby and
leads to other sandy coves and breathtaking scenery.

Tintagel is only one mile away, where
the famous castle associated with the legendary King
Arthur, the ancient Post Office, the early Norman
Church on the cliffs, and attractive shops, are to be
enjoyed.
The Willows is an ideal centre for
visiting numerous places of interest, whether the lovely
fishing villages of Boscastle, Port Isaac,
Polzeath, or ancient monuments, mystical or historical,
whilst walking on Bodmin Moor and visiting the
Eden Project.
The Willows is open all year, is centrally
heated. Nice dogs are welcome free of charge in the
Self-catering Apartment.
LOCATION
TREKNOW
is a hamlet just before Tintagel Village Off the B3263 from
Camelford.
The coastal path is three minutes
away. Commonly known as the sunset coast, it is steeped in
the legends of King Arthur, and Cornwall's historic
industrial past in slate mining.
Old workings can be seen close by, and the
Delabole Quarry is Europe's largest, man-made hole being
approximately 1'/2 miles across. Also at Delabole the first
wind farm in the country can be seen. Wild life is in
abundance around the cliffs, and the wild flowers are
something not to be missed early in the year.
Late autumn brings Indian summers in many
years, and the campion and primroses flower once again.
There are many places to visit in Tintagel
alone including the castle ruins, King Arthur's
Hall, Merlin's Museum, the Old Post Office,
and many small churches.
All these are within walking distance of
The Willows
TINTAGEL
is an ideal base for touring the county,
being central on the North Coast, but mid county, enabling
visitors day trip distance to all major attractions via the
new by-passes as far as Lands End.
In addition to the places around Tintagel,
moving south westerly, are the Padstow Bird and Butterfly
Gardens, The Cornish Shire Horse Centre, Wadebridge, also
the charm and tranquility of National Trust houses and
gardens. There are many more attractions between North
Cornwall and Lands End.
Moving north easterly, it is a short
distance to Bude and the Devon border where many more
attractions can be located including Dartmoor.
A south easterly trip takes you across
Bodmin Moor to Looe, Polperro and south
coast resorts and harbour towns. In Cornwall, one is never
further than 20 miles from the sea.
Activities such as riding, golf, surfing,
are all close by, and coach excursions can be taken from
Tintagel. Information and ideas are
available at The Willows
to help you have an enjoyable holiday. |
