Seasons is a small romantic country house. Our idyllic setting, approximately 4 miles from Looe, in one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall, makes us unique

Relax and enjoy the peace and magic of the stream and the small country lanes leading into the woodland bordering our sunny gardens.

Sit on the bench beside our beautiful pond and watch the ducks and visiting wildlife, or in the gazebo, and start the book you haven't had time to pick up! If you are feeling energetic, then the village of Duloe with its pub and PO / General Stores can be reached on foot, an enjoyable walk along peaceful lanes full of wild flowers, through the quiet woods or across sunny fields. Indeed, there are several lovely walks direct from the door.

Looe and the coastal path is only 5 minutes' drive away. Or, if you prefer, you can leave the car behind in the safety of our grounds and travel on The Looe Valley Line which stops on request at the small stations between Looe and Liskeard with its mainline station . After your day out, you can come home to a pre-booked dinner, if you wish. All produce is fresh and locally sourced. Meat is organically reared and eggs are free-range. We cater for special occasions and for diets. See 'Activities' for details of our weekend courses.

A Haven of Tranquility
For a luxury break in Cornwall, Seasons Country House is idyllically situated in the heart of the beautiful Looe Valley. Beside a stream, with sunny colourful gardens, surrounded by rolling hills and Duchy of Cornwall woodland, we are only 5 minutes’ drive to the sea and conveniently positioned to visit many of the renowned Gardens of Cornwall, including the Eden Project and the National Trust properties of Cotehele and Llanhydrock (see Links). Within a short drive too is Plymouth and the Devon border (10 minutes to A38), Bodmin Moor and the North Coast. The small, historic harbours of Looe and Polperro and the sailing waters of Fowey are close by as well as numerous coves and beaches to be discovered in between. Ancient stone circles and round houses can be found dotted around the wild landscape of Bodmin Moor to the North.

All through the year, a luxury break at Seasons Country House allows you to observe the ever-changing scenes of nature. Springtime brings carpets of bluebells in Duloe Woods. Summer is a time for picnics on the beach and ice cream in the shade. Autumn brings a riot of mellow oranges and reds to the landscape and Winter, sparkling frost on the riverbank and firs.

With a friendly, relaxed and informal atmosphere, we are a small family-run establishment offering a high standard of care and courtesy with the emphasis on comfort, personal service and excellent cuisine using locally sourced fresh produce.

How to get to us

Seasons is easily accessible via road, rail or air.

Road Information
Via road is approximately 4 ½ hours on a direct motorway route from either London (M4, M5) or Manchester (M6, M5) and then onto the A38 dual carriageway.

 

• Take A38 to Liskeard at junction B3252 turn left signposted to Looe (not B3251)

• At brow of hill (Horningtops) turn right to Trewidland.

• Continue for approx. 1.8 miles through village of Trewidland, over the small railway bridge and turn left at the T-junction, signposted to Looe & Sandplace.

• Turn first right after about ½ mile at Badham Farm into Stocks Lane.

• Seasons is situated 200 meters down this lane on the right with ample secure parking within the grounds.

Flight Information
Local airports being Plymouth (30 minutes), Exeter (60 minutes) and Newquay (45 minutes).
All local airports have car hire facilities close by and good public transport links.

Rail Information
Our nearest station is Liskeard on the main line London ↔ Paddington.
