Situation |

The
Thatched Cottage Estate offers for rent two wonderful holiday
cottages, set in a secluded and deeply wooded valley close to
the sea at Chapel Porth. These cottages are surrounded by
beautiful private gardens enabling visitors to enjoy peace and
tranquillity, yet they are within easy walking distance of the
beach, sea and cliffs.
The two holiday cottages are named Wisteria and Lavender, with
Lavender the larger of the two. Both can sleep up to four people
comfortably, with pleasant views of the valley and grounds.
St Agnes village is only a mile and a half away, and a 10-minute
stroll along a beautiful National Trust footpath will take you
to the stunning Chapel Porth beach, which is popular among
families, surfers, and swimmers alike, as well as those who
simply want to relax. This location is ideal for Touring
Cornwall's many attractions or for walking the nearby coastal
footpaths.

Wisteria is a
comfortably furnished cottage with lounge/diner, well-equipped
kitchen and ground floor bathroom with a bath and a shower.
There are two first floor bedrooms, one double and a small
single with single divan and guest bed. The cottage has colour
TV/Video, radio cassette, automatic washing machine, microwave
oven, fridge/freezer and full electric central heating, and a
small patio area.
We hope you will
come and enjoy your stay and enjoy the delights that Cornwall
has to offer, from the rugged coastline appreciated by many
walkers to the quaint harbour villages.
Visitor Information, Rates and Directions
Rates vary between £195 & £430 a week according to time of year.
Bed linen is provided, and there is Parking for one vehicle per
cottage.
Visitors are asked to arrive after 3-00pm and vacate by 10-00am
on day of departure. Bookings usually run from Saturday to
Saturday.
All accommodation is self-catering. The first £10 worth of
electricity is included in the rental and any remainder is
charged at local rates.
No pets please.
Directions by road: Travel along the main A30 from Exeter until
you reach a large roundabout with a signpost to St Agnes. Just
before entering the village of St Agnes turn left at the mini
roundabout towards Chapel Porth / Beach and carry straight on
for approximately 1.5 miles. |

The driveway to the
cottages is on the left hand side. It is rather hidden, but can
be found roughly 200 yards past the yellow cottage displaying a
model Lighthouse and Windmill. It is sign-posted "The Thatched
Cottage"
Visitors should note
that the garden contains a large water feature that may be
unsuitable for young children and toddlers to play near.

The
tidal beach is a magnificent sight at low water with the nearby
Porthtowan beach being accessible by foot along the sandy
stretch of beach between the two coves, enabling visitors to
explore the vast caves and rock pools
The cottages have a path leading down to the beach, winding
through a pretty leafy valley rich in wildlife, rare birds, wild
orchids and flowers
The cottage gardens are also a peaceful and beautiful place to
relax alone, or with the family
