level walk through the many gift shops and
restaurants to the harbour of Mevagissey, an
historic working fishing village.
Leave your
car and walk from Tanglewood House into the
historic fishing village where you will find
numerous shops, pubs and restaurants as well
as the stunning harbour views.
We are just 2
minutes from the Lost Gardens of Heligan and
only 15 minutes from the Eden Project.
A perfect
place to spend a few days getting away from
it all.

After
waking from a wonderful
nights sleep, we invite

Our
dining room captures the
morning sun, and through
the springtime,
Tanglewood garden is a
mass of colour with lots
of resident and visiting
wild birds, a truly
delightful start to any
day.
We take
great care to source our
produce from the best,
local suppliers. We
only use free range
eggs, and often cook
organic foods.
Vegetarian and special
diets can be catered for
if you give prior
notice.
Whether
you want, Cereals,
yoghurt, fruit,
traditional English,
Continental, Vegetarian
or Toast and preserves
the choice is yours.
We also
serve freshly brewed
filter coffee, a
selection of teas or hot
chocolate.
We
guarantee all food will
be of high quality and
cooked to the healthiest
standards.
Our
Caerhays room is an elegant, stylishly
beautiful and spacious double room with
en-suite shower.
Immaculately kept, with luxurious bed
linen, the large bay forward facing
window overlooks the garden and our huge
bright pink rhododendron (when in
flower) can be seen from the bed.
This room
is perfect for a peaceful romantic
holiday and has been named after the "Caerhays
Belle", a huge Magnolia producing
magnificent enormous pale pink flowers.
We have
just planted our own Caerhays Belle,
which in a few years time can be viewed
from the bay window.
Staying
at Tanglewood is the perfect place from
which to visit the wonderful attractions
Cornwall and Mevagissey has to offer.
Heligan
is a delightful, immaculate and spacious
double room, with an en-suite shower
room.
Dual
aspect windows, looking out to the back
and the side, making this room light and
airy, with views over the valley and
gardens and towards The Lost Gardens of
Heligan which is within walking distance
from us.
Our
magnificent , mature, purple magnolia
can be seen from the side window which
usually flowers twice a year and is
enjoyed by many guests and passers by.
The
Beautiful bed linen, fluffy towels and
fresh flowers in this room, all help to
make your holiday extra special.
Mevagissey is the perfect place to be on
your visit to Cornwall and staying at
Tanglewood will set you up for your
holiday.
Trewithen
is a charming cosy room. Two southerly
facing windows make this room very
bright and airy, great for watching
Mevagissey feast week carnival and
fireworks.
This room
is forward facing overlooking the garden
and village with sea glimpses.
A smaller
though no less comfortable double room,
with en-suite shower, double pine sleigh
bed with pretty bed linen.
There
will be fluffy towels and little extras
to make your stay a delightful
experience.
This room
named Trewithen after the famous
Trewithen Gardens at Truro, because of
their magnificent collection of
Magnolias, Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Tanglewood House and Cottage have a
beautiful garden, where guests are
welcome to sit and relax (weather
permitting) , enjoy the surroundings
and listen to the seagulls and resident
wild birds or just read the morning
paper.
A
selection of local books, maps and
brochures are available to enable guests
to decide on their plans for the day
ahead.
Coming

water garden, to include peaceful
seating in Tea house, for our guests to
enjoy.

with us and after a hard days touring
around Cornwall wonderful attractions.
The
garden at Tanglewood House is designed
on several tiers and is well stocked
with a wide variety of colourful shrubs
and plants. The planting arrangements
come from the inspiration we get from
many of the wonderful gardens you can
visit throughout Cornwall.
