Local attractions:

Newquay is Cornwall's premier holiday resort, with seven miles of glorious sandy beaches and magnificent coastal walks & views. Besides some of the best surfing in the UK, other beach activities include kite surfing, paragliding & land yachting. Nick and Shell will be only too willing to show you the best surf areas. In addition, Newquay & surrounding areas offer ample opportunity for coarse, game & sea fishing.

If the sea & surf gets too much, why not relax over a game of golf overlooking the Atlantic, go horse-riding, or take a cycle ride along the newly completed Cornish Way Whilst renowned for it’s vibrant night-life, Newquay is also an ideal family resort.

The Zoo is a short walk from the hotel, situated in Trenance Valley, where the pleasant Trenance Gardens & Boating Lake can be found. Tennis courts, crown green bowls, a children’s' model railway, pitch & putt, Wooden Waves skateboard park and Waterworld are all in the same area. Several Theme parks are within easy driving distance of the town.

Cornwall is one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, and Newquay is an ideal base from which to explore. Most places can be reached within a 45 min drive or less.

Lanhydrock and Heligan are just two of the stunning gardens to visit in the region, not forgetting of course the immensely successful Eden Project. Small picturesque fishing villages abound, with ancient pubs & tales of wreckers & smugglers from days of old. Take a trip to the wilds of Bodmin Moor & Jamaica Inn, or visit the untamed beauty of Lands End.

For myth & mystery, visit Tintagel Castle, King Arthur's legendary birthplace, or experience the magical atmosphere at St Michael's Mount. Whatever your pleasure, you're sure to find it in Cornwall!
