Springfield is a large detached bungalow set in its own
extensive grounds on the edge of the ancient village of Tregony,
often described as the gateway to the Roseland Peninsula'
The guest house offers excellent value accommodation in lovely
surroundings.
All accommodation is on one level and have been
furnished and decorated to a very high standard.

The accommodation:
2 double rooms

All are equipped with a television, complimentary refreshment
tray and centrally heated. There is hot and cold in all rooms
with an adjoining guests bathroom/toilet with an additional
toilet.
Springfield is a non smoking guest house but guests are quite
welcome to relax in the extensive grounds and smoke if they
wish.
The proprietor used to have a farm bed and breakfast and the
generous full English breakfast has been retained. Other options
are also available.
Guests have access to rooms at all times and are provided with
keys.
Sorry, there are no facilities for pets.
There is ample private parking.

Local attractions:
Springfield is on the outskirts of Tregony village but just a
short walk into the centre with pub, post office, shop and art
gallery.
The River Fal runs close-by with lovely local walks
Tregony is described as being the gateway to the Roseland
Peninsula with all its many little coves and of course the
resort of St Mawes.
Locally - Just a short drive
St Austell/Eden Project/Lost Gardens of Heligan
St Mawes - just 15 mins drive. Situated on the river Fal is a
favourite with the sailing community. Very popular all year
round. Boat trips including a foot passenger ferry to Falmouth.
Local villages well worth a visit include:
Percuil - the sailing centre for Gerrans and Portscatho
Portloe - a picture postcard little fishing village
Veryan - famous for its round-houses
Philleigh - extremely old buildings and a good pub
St Just-in-Roseland - a beautiful area stretching down to the
river
St Anthony Head and Lighthouse - excellent walks and stunning
views.
Numerous local beaches/coves/headlands on the Roseland. This is
a really beautiful area with a great deal to explore.
Truro city - good shopping/cathedral/boat trips down the
river to Falmouth - 15 mins
Your hosts are local to the area and will be only to happy to
recommend places to visit or that country pub for a good evening
meal.
Directions :
(from the north)
A30 to Bodmin. Join the A391 towards St Austell. Follow the A390
through St Austell towards Truro. Go through the village of
Grampound and turn left onto the A3078 towards St Mawes. Follow
this road and you will see Tregony off to your left, the
entrance to Springfield is immediately on your left.
