The Situation

Situated in an elevated position overlooking the beautiful Pentewan Valley. ETB, CTB and St Austell TIC Registered. Close to Eden, Heligan and Charlestown.

The Accommodation at Hollybank

Holly Bank is in an elevated position with lovely countryside views. Access is via a steep drive from the main road leading to a gravel parking/turning area. A flight of 8 steps followed by a further flight of 7 steps leads to the entrance door. A step up into the entrance door gives access to the bungalow which is on one level. The rear door has a step down to another flight of 4 steps. The garden of Holly Bank is steep in parts leading down to the patio and sitting area. Although a bungalow property, access is not possible for a wheelchair to Holly Bank or the garden.

Directions
From the M5 at Exeter make for Okehampton, Bodmin and then St Austell, take the B3273 towards Mevagissey, at London Apprentice look for the Telephone kiosk and lay-by on the left, the sign and drive for Hollybank is opposite. Go up the drive and park on the large gravel area.

Local attractions:

Hollybank is on the fringe of the small hamlet of London Apprentice between St Austell and Mevagissey.
It is just a short walk to a footpath which is part of the Cornish Way, this follows a small river down through the wooded Pentewan Valley to Pentewan village and beach. (approx. 2 miles, a lovely walk or cycle ride).
Good country restaurant just a short walk
Popular pub with excellent restaurant at nearby Polgooth
Pentewan village - cycle hire, good pub, long sandy beach.

Just a short drive
The picturesque fishing harbour of Mevagissey - fishing, boat trips, restaurants, pubs, craft shops, tea rooms and ferry to Fowey.
Further sandy beaches at Porthpean, Carlyon Bay, Gorran Haven.
Charlestown Harbour with its tall ships, restaurants and pubs . (2 miles)
Lost Gardens of Heligan (4 miles)
The Eden Project (6 miles)
St Austell town with swimming baths, good shopping, multi screen cinema, tennis, choice of golf courses.

Within 30 minutes
The cathedral city of Truro - Lovely cathedral, good shopping, popular boat trips down the river to Falmouth.
Fowey - many craft shops, boats, walks by the river, a very popular destination.
Bodmin - leading to the moor and Jamaica Inn.

Hollybank  is well placed in the centre of Cornwall, virtually anywhere in the county can be reached within an hour.

A picturesque little village with a good pub/restaurant.
Parking in the village, or if a patron, in the pub car park.
There is a small beach but it is very stony and not recommended.
Nice walk along the cliff path to Carlyon Bay
