The Situation

Three beautifully appointed, double glazed, well insulated cottages, which have been meticulously converted from classic farm buildings. All are luxuriously furnished and fully equipped. Two of the cottages share a 20 foot heated indoor swimming pool with 'jetstream'. Virtual tours of the properties, together with a list of all facilities can be seen by clicking onto the individual cottages.
The cottages are set in beautiful countryside in the heart of a working Cornish farm. Just 3 miles from the sea, the cottages provide a luxurious base for that perfect 'get-away-from-it-all' holiday. Situated on the east of unspoilt Roseland Peninsula, there is a wide choice of sandy beaches and secluded coves all within a few miles of Rescorla.
The farm is a genuine traditional working farm specialising in rearing livestock on its 150 acres of beautiful countryside (each year we have over 1000 sheep lambing) and, if time and work permits allow, the owner would be delighted to give you a conducted tour; in any case, you are more than welcome to explore the farm at any time of the year. Lambing begins in early November and continues through to early January, starting again with another flock late in February which is completed by the end of May. Children are encouraged to bottle feed the orphan lambs at lambing time. We shear sheep right through the Summer and Autumn from May to October.

Rescorla Farm Cottages are ideally located for some of Cornwalls best attractions. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are just 2 miles away and world renowned Eden Project is just 15 minutes drive away!

The beautiful fishing port of Mevagissey is just a short drive away from where you can catch a ferry along the stunning coastline to Fowey. Alternatively fishing trips are available, and for the more adventurous there are shark angling trips!

The beaches and coves along the south coast are ideal for sailing, canoeing, water skiing and skin-diving and equally suitable for families with children with miles of golden sand and very safe for swimming. For surfers the North coast has superb beaches and is only 25 minutes away. And for the conservationist and walker this area of Cornwall is a perfect base.

The famous old port of Charlestown is home to a fleet of square rigged schooners (on which you can go for a sail), and the award winning Ship Wreck and Heritage Centre. Here you can also purchase delicious smoked salmon, prawns, oysters, and a host of unusual sea fare from the superb smoked fish factory in the centre of the town.
