Delightfully situated at the foot of Hawk’s Tor in the heart of superb Cornish countryside, you will find “The Racehorse Inn” in the pretty Village of North Hill.

An excellent base for touring Cornwall and Devon, this peaceful spot is just 5 minutes from the A30, Cornwall’s major access route with The Eden Project and The National Marine Aquarium within easy reach.

The Racehorse Inn is believed to be over 300 years old. Originally built as a school for local children, it was purchased from The Diocese of Truro in 1964 to convert into a public house.

The inn has been sympathetically refurbished by the current owners, offers easy access for the disabled and a separate non-smoking dining room. The comfortable beamed lounge and bar area have open log fires. Outside you will find the south-facing beer garden, seated deck area, and large car park.

With a fine reputation for its home-cooked food, locally sourced meats, fresh fish and vegetables a very comprehensive menu is backed up with a regularly changed special board. This is complemented by an extensive wine list. Also available is Sharp’s award-winning Doom Bar real ale.

The Inn offers three double en-suite bedrooms, furnished to a high standard, from £60 per couple, including full English breakfast.

"We only came for an evening meal... Then booked in the next day for three nights!
Most superior rooms, a breakfast to die for. Pat & Rob made us so very welcome.
So sorry to leave". Judy & Peter, Dunfermline.
