Quinceborough Farm, which has been owned by the
present family since the 1920s. Built by Squire
Mucklow (hence Squire, Mucklow and Barn
cottages) in the early 1880s, the cottages still
retain many original features.
Situated in one of North Cornwall's most popular
areas and within walking distance of the sandy
beach of Widemouth Bay ideal for surfers and
bathers alike. Children will be in their element
feeding the variety of small animals as well as
using the games room with table tennis and air
hockey. Enjoy a swim in the enclosed heated
swimming pool (available from May Bank Holiday
to the end of Sept), have a game of tennis on
the tennis court, play in the small adventure
playground, or just relax and enjoy the scenery
and tranquillity. As well as all this you are
only a short drive to a host of sheltered coves
and sandy beaches as well as attractions to suit
all tastes which include the steep, stepped
cobbled streets of Clovelly, The Milky Way, The
Big Sheep, Tamar Otter Park and Wildwood,
Launceston Steam Railway, The Eden Project,
Tintagel with its legends of King Arthur and the
Knights of The Round Table and Boscastle with
its fishing trips to name but a few. In the
evening stroll along the woodland walk to the
bird hide or over the fields or watch the sun
set over the sea from your balcony.
All 5 properties have ample parking. Bed linen
included. 1 dog by arrangement. Beach 0.75 mile,
pub and shop 1 mile.
Spacious accommodation with original features
such as exposed beams and a galleried first
floor area. The accommodation offers TWO
bedrooms: on the ground floor is 1 family
bedroom with a double and a single bed with
en-suite shower and WC, and on the first floor
there is 1 twin room with en-suite bathroom with
shower over whirlpool bath and WC. The open-plan
lounge/kitchen/diner has an electric cooker,
microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and
washing machine. Lounge area with TV, DVD, hi-fi
and sofa bed. Electric and under-floor heating
(when needed) included. An enclosed shared
courtyard at the back of the property with
seating and BBQ and a lawned area can be enjoyed
at the front of The Roost with sea views.
