Places to Go

The Eden Project only 6 miles; Lost Gardens of Heligan and the National Trust Lanhydrock House & Gardens are all within easy reach. Fowey Town & Harbour is 8 miles with its abundance of boutiques and yachts together with the Bodinnick Ferry and Polruan water taxis.

A twenty minute walk from the house will take you to the ancient church of St Winnow - a tiny riverside hamlet on the Fowey estuary. From here, a path leads from the Church through the National Trust's Ethy Wood to the picturesque village of Lerryn. It is said to have some of the loveliest river scenery in Cornwall.

The sandy beaches on the south coast of Lantic Bay and Lansallos are about 20 minutes drive

There are also two 18 hole golf courses, Lostwithiel Golf & Country Club and Lanhydrock Golf Club closeby.

In recent years, Lostwithiel, a charming historic town in its own right, has become "the antiques capital of Cornwall".

Further afield the delights of the new Falmouth Maritime Museum and the Tate Gallery of St Ives beckon.
