The Situation

Pen Star is walking distance to the beach & harbour, pubs & restaurants, shops, chemist & banks. It is a good central location for exploring all of Cornwall. The bus and railway station is also in easy reach. The Eden Project is a 10 minute drive away and The Lost Gardens of Heligan 15 minutes drive.

The Accommodation
Pen Star House has a variety of well appointed bedrooms - single, double, twin & family rooms. All rooms have en-suite or private bathroom. Our bedrooms are equipped with radio alarm clocks, refreshment trays, hairdryers, flatscreen tv's  and dvd players. Fresh flowers are complementary and wireless internet access is available. All rooms are centrally heated.

We have a lovely lounge with woodburner, which guests may use for quiet relaxation or to plan your next excursion. We have a good selection of local interest books and leaflets to read.
The tourist information centre is also just a short stroll away with numerous books, leaflets, information and Eden Project tickets.

Children are welcome & catered for. We have a family room and a cot & high chair are available.

Breakfast
We serve a variety of fresh, dried and preserved fruits along with cereals, organic bio yoghurt and juices along with a varied cooked menu and a specials board. We use fresh baked bread and have speciality and herbal teas or freshly brewed coffee.

Special diets are catered for with notice.
 


Parking: We have private car parking. We are motorcylclist, walker, and cyclist friendly. Secure rear parking is available for motorcycles and secure storage is available for cycles etc.

  Directions:

Leave M5 at Exeter joining the A30. Bypass Okehampton, Launceston and Bodmin. At the end of the dual carriageway take the left hand turn for St.Austell, at the village of Bugle, turn left at the traffic lights, on the B3374 follow through Penwithick for a further 2 miles until the outskirts of St.Austell are reached, continue down the hill past 4 roundabouts, upon reaching the traffic lights turn right.
  On entering the outskirts of St Austell Tesco will be on your right.   Follow the road to a large roundabout, continue on the A390 which is now the St Austell by-pass.   Pen Star is approximately 300 mts. past the roundabout on the right.   It is just before Asda and another roundabout.
