Owned by Gary & Ann Marston, Pen Star House is a detached Edwardian family run guest house furnished and decorated to a high standard. A warm & friendly welcome is assured with complimentary tea and Cornish biscuits or Sherry on arrival.

The Situation

Situated on the outskirts of St. Austell town, but within easy reach of the railway & bus station. Pen Star is walking distance to shops, restaurants, pubs, harbour and beach, and a good central location for exploring all of Cornwall. The Eden Project is a 10 minute drive away.

The Accommodation

Pen Star has a variety of well appointed bedrooms, standard and en-suite, ranging from singles, doubles and twins to family rooms. Our bedrooms are equipped with radio alarm clocks, refreshment trays, hairdryers, modern televisions with freeview, most have DVD players. Fresh flowers are complimentary and wireless internet access is available. All rooms are centrally heated.

We have a lovely lounge with woodburner, television DVD and CD player which guests may use for quiet relaxation or to plan your next excursion. There is a good selection of local interest books and leaflets available to read.

Children are welcome and catered for. We have family rooms sleeping from 3 to 5. A cot and highchair are available. A babysitting service is also available.

Breakfast
Breakfast is a relaxed and enjoyable affair with much friendly banter with your host. We serve a variety of fresh, dried and preserved fruits with cereals, organic bio yoghurts and juices along with traditional breakfast, we use fresh bread and have speciality and herbal teas or freshly brewed coffee.
Special diets are catered for.

As a certificated and insured Reiki Master, Anne is able to offer guests Reiki sessions. Weekend breaks are also held for those interested in attaining 1st 2nd & 3rd degree and Masters attunements.

  Directions:

Leave M5 at Exeter joining the A30. Bypass Okehampton, Launceston and Bodmin. At the end of the dual carriageway take the left hand turn for St.Austell, at the village of Bugle, turn left at the traffic lights, on the B3374 follow through Penwithick for a further 2 miles until the outskirts of St.Austell are reached, continue down the hill past 4 roundabouts, upon reaching the traffic lights turn right.
  On entering the outskirts of St Austell Tesco will be on your right.   Follow the road to a large roundabout, continue on the A390 which is now the St Austell by-pass.   Pen Star is approximately 300 mts. past the roundabout on the right.   It is just before Asda and another roundabout.
