Situation |

Welcome to 'Nook Cottage' Higher Kestle Barn.
Situated in a peaceful, rural area just outside the hamlet of
Kestle, inland from Mevagissey, just 1 mile from The Lost Gardens of
Heligan, and 8 miles from the Eden Project.
The house is surrounded by open countryside, with views towards
Mevagissey and Heligan, making it an ideal base for couples who
prefer a peaceful and quiet location, yet within easy reach of many
beautiful beaches, coastal walks, shops and restaurants. |
| The Accommodation |
Decorated and
furnished to a very high standard.
Higher Kestle Barn was built around 1860 and converted in 1984.
'Nook cottage', recently converted, forms part of the main
house, but is completely self-contained with its own separate
entrance.
It is located on the ground floor and comprises:
Fitted kitchen well equipped with, electric cooker, electric
hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine, ample
cooking utensils/cutlery etc.
Sitting/dining room has a fireplace with an electric fire,
television, video (with a selection of videos), two seater
settee, two easy chairs, and a dining area with table and
chairs.
Bedroom with two single beds.
Adjoining dressing room with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Shower room with a large shower cubicle and power shower, W.C.
and wash basin.
Iron and Ironing board provided
Use of a tumble dryer is available.
Small private garden with patio furniture and BBQ
Rotary washing line
Sorry, no smoking, no pets, no children under 12.
All bed linen, electricity and heating are included. Please
bring your own towels
Changeover day is Saturday. |

Directions:
From the A30, take
the A391 to St Austell. Turn right onto the A390 at roundabout.
Turn left onto the B3273 to Mevagissey. After Pentwewan beach,
turn right on the brow of the hill towards Gorran & Heligan
Gardens. Pass Heligan Gardens and take the second left turn.
Higher Kestle Barn is about half-a-mile further on the left. |

Good country pubs nearby at St Ewe/Pentewan/Gorran/Polgooth.
The Eden Project is about 25 minutes drive
Port of Charlestown with its tall ships, maritime museum - 20
minutes
These are just a few ideas, there is much, much more.
The whole Roseland peninsula with its many headlands and creeks
are but a short drive away
Touring
Cornwall is a beautiful but small county most places can be
reached within an hour.
