  • Area of outstanding natural beauty

  • A working farm on the banks of the River

  • Ideal for Eden Project

Lynher Farm is a family run beef & sheep farm which borders the river Lynher. We have a herd of beautiful South Devon cows, 250 breeding ewes, two sheep dogs, and the nosy peacock.

Lynher Farm dates back to 1854, built of granite & stone, the house has an imposing entrance, surrounded by a wisteria tree which in full blossom is a photographers delight.
The bedrooms, all with large windows overlooking the garden and fields are individually decorated to a high standard, with comfortable well sprung beds which provide a superb nights sleep. Also, DVD or Video, TV, tea & coffee making facilities, plus an unending supply of fluffy towels are at your disposal. Relax in the drawing room, make use of the piano, games, books or maps or take a stroll around the gardens, taking in the wild life and abundance of foliage or simply sit and watch the sun go down. For those who can muster the energy a walk to the local river or local village (to sample the local brews!) will add to your relaxing stay.
We have been welcoming visitors to Lynher Farm for more than 30 years. We are proud of our home and business and think we know how to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

Ewart and Pamela look forward to welcoming you to their home, and will be more than happy to advise on interesting or preferred eating establishments in the area...

This is a brief list of my personal favourites.
The region boasts a wealth of choice and we will be only to happy to to advise / assist with bookings.

Places to Visit:

New and exciting Eden Project - Enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan - Lands End / Lizard peninsular - St Michaels Mount - St Ives Tate Gallery - Charlestown - Plymouth aquarium, relive Blitz striken Plymouth at the 'Dome', or the historic Barbican - National trust houses - Cothele, Lanhydrock, and Anthony House

Cornwall hosts some of the UK's best tourist attractions outside London. For those who enjoy the water - The county can boast more coastal frontage than any other in England. Fishing off Mevagissey or on our local rivers, a days racing at Falmouth, cruising up the Helford river, surfing at Fistral beach Newquay, or simply working on the tan at Polzeath or the other sandy coves along the north coast. For the more energetic enjoy the varied walks, from moorland to coastal and around the farm.

Cultural entertainment is aplenty in the region. Plymouth Theatre Royal welcomes many productions straight from the West End. Sterts and the Minack theatre are highly respected local theatres. Both are outdoor theatres, with stunning views -in particular the Minack theatre uses the ocean as its backdrop.

Ideal Day trips – memories are made of this

  • North: Clovelly, Tintagel, Boscastle

  • South: Fowey, Polruan, Looe, Polperro

  • East: Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Dartmoor, Tavistock

  • West: Truro, Padstow, Mousehole, Falmouth

Activities:

  • Cycle the Camel Trail

  • Deep sea fishing off Mevagissey

  • Eating at Rick Stein’s fish restaurant
