| The
Situation |
|
|
Now
superseded by the new A30, Agar road forms part of the old main
road between Redruth and Camborne, two of the principal towns of
West Cornwall.
Lyndhurst is therefore conveniently situated for business
in either of these towns, while Truro, Penzance and Falmouth are
within easy reach.

Local
attractions:

For
those with an interest in the history of the County, Lyndhurst
Guest House is ideal.
The “Winding Engine” at Pool, just along the road, was
the first Cornish engine to be scheduled for preservation, and
Richard Trevithick, the inventor of the steam locomotive lived
nearby.
The last remaining tin-mine, South Crofty, is only a little
further away.
Lyndhurst was originally built for one of the local Mine
Captains, and the quality of the house reflects his standing
within the community.
Catering
for the holidaymaker the North coast beaches of Portreath and
Pothtowan are within ten minutes drive, and the artists mecca of
St. Ives is only a little further.
The
proprietors Martin and Sandy have strong connections with
Cornwall, and are familiar with local commerce and all the holiday
attractions, whatever the reason for your stay you will receive a
warm welcome in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
