This
family home has been lovingly restored and furnished to provide
excellent accommodation for guests.
The comfortable sitting-room has oak-beamed ceilings and a
massive granite fireplace, with a log-burning stove for cooler
evenings.
An ancient doorway leads to a cosy snug where guests can
enjoy a quiet read.
An original half-spiral stone stairway leads to the
bedrooms, all of which are heated, two having a
bathroom/shower-room en-suite.
There
are additional bedrooms in a lovely old stone barn alongside the
farmhouse.
These rooms have the additional benefit of television and
stunning views to the sea and Lundy Island.
Two
bedrooms are on the ground floor.
On
arrival guests are welcomed with a fresh pot of tea and a plate of
hot buttered saffron cake.
An
excellent farmhouse breakfast is served or alternatives to your
choice.
Twice weekly an
evening meal is available for which Lower Tresmorn has an
excellent reputation and is highly recommended. (see sample menu), Guests are invited to bring their own wine as the farm does
not have a table licence.
