'Longfield' is a large modern house set in 3 acres of its
own grounds in the picturesque little village of Lanlivery.
The village is just a mile from the main A390 and just 2 miles
from the ancient town of Lostwithiel.
The Eden Project, Cornwall's latest major attraction is just a
10 minute drive away and for walkers, the 'Saints Way' goes
through the village.
The accommodation:
Longfield is a modern house, furnished and decorated to a very
high standard.
All bedrooms are en-suite and one is on the ground floor,
convenient for those who experience difficulties with stairs.
The bedrooms are equipped with television and complimentary tea
and coffee tray.
Guests have access to rooms at all times.
The dining area with comfortable seating is in the conservatory
overlooking the mature garden. A full English breakfast is
served with various options available including vegetarian and
continental.
There is a non smoking policy in the house.
Sorry, there are no facilities for pets.

Directions:
One mile west of Lostwithiel on the main A390. Travelling west
you will see Lanlivery signposted to the right. Follow this road
and you will enter the village, go past the Crown Inn on your
left and the Church on your right. You will then see a signpost
to Bodmin, follow this road for about 100 yards and Longfield in
on your right.

Locally:
Set in the heart of rural Cornwall but within easy reach of
numerous attractions.
Lovely country walks can be enjoyed directly from the house,
indeed, 'The Saints Way' runs through the village.
The Crown Inn, a 12th century pub is just 200 yards away, an
excellent place to spend an evening for a quiet drink or a meal
in their restaurant.
There are no shops in Lanlivery, but the ancient town of
Lostwithiel is just 2 miles away. It has some excellent
restaurants/pubs/antique shops. Lovely walks can be enjoyed by
the River Fowey which runs through Lostwithiel. Salmon fishing
is also popular.
There is also an excellent golf course in Lostwithiel adjoining
the river, and if you really enjoy golf there is a further
course at Lanhydrock, both are within a 10 minute drive.
Luxulyan Valley is just 2 miles away, an area of outstanding
natural beauty.
The popular resort of Fowey is 7 miles and offers boat
trips/walks/the ancient town with gift shops, tea rooms, pubs,
restaurants.
A little further away:
St Austell area with the Tall Ships at Charlestown, The Lost
Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey fishing village with its scenic
harbour.
North coast resorts of Newquay/Padstow are within an easy drive.
Cornwall is a beautiful country but quite small, most places can
be reached fro Longfield within an hours drive, your hosts are
local to the area and will be only too pleased to help with
useful ideas.
