Double bedroom	The Golf Club

All bedrooms are en-suite except the twin which has a private bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV and hairdryer in all bedrooms. Guest lounge. Full English breakfast or continental breakfast.

We are directly opposite the golf course near Bude Downs, a few minutes to shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, the coastal footpath and Crooklets and Summerleaze beaches.

Links Side is a traditional large high ceiling English Victorian house.  The accommodation is high quality warm and comfortable.

We offer 3 double en-suite bedrooms, 1 single en-suite bedroom, 1 family en-suite bedroom (1 double & 1 single bed) and 1 twin bedroom which has its own private bathroom.

The two front bedrooms have views across the golf course and Bude downs.
Strictly non-smoking and no pets except for guide dogs.

The residents lounge has books, games and TV with DVD player.
Traditional English breakfast or flexible options.

We offer combined B&B / Evening meal / golf packages which provide significant savings at the
Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club ( clubhouse is directly across the road).

We have six rooms in all. Three en-suite doubles, one en-suite single, one en-suite family room with a double and a single bed and one twin with a private bathroom next door.

BREAKFAST We offer a freshly cooked traditional full English breakfast using locally sourced ingredients and free range eggs.

We also can provide continental or vegetarian breakfasts upon request.

Kippers and smoked haddock are also available on request and we can cater for special diets.

Normal breakfast times are between 8:30-9:30am but there is some flexibility.

There are many other activities to do in the local area. For surfers, Bude and the North Cornwall coast offers some of the best surfing in the UK.There are some lovelywalks along the South West coast path.Sea,river and lake fishing.

About Bude:
Bude,on the beautiful North Cornwall coast is a lively Cornish seaside resort that offers something for everyone.

Breathtaking cliff walks on the Cornish coastal path or Take a peaceful stroll along the tranquil canal, with the only canal lock and sea gate to the open ocean in Britain and the location of the Bude museum.

It has some of the best surfing beaches in the U.K., a challenging 18 hole links golf course right in
the middle of town, and a nearby 9 hole course and driving range.

There are lots of other activities to do in the local area such as horse riding, sea and fresh water fishing, kayaking, karting and mountain boarding.

For a day out there is the world famous Eden Project, and for families there are several adventure parks.

Throughout the summer there are various activities such as lifeboat day, poldark fayre and a week long festival of jazz with visiting international and national performers.

Golf:
Links Side Guesthouse is situated directly opposite Bude & North Cornwall Golf Club,100m from the clubhouse.

The course,(situated in the centre of town and minutes to the beach), is one of the finest links courses in the West Country. 18 holes. 6057 yds. Par 71. SSS 70. The natural all weather fairways and greens are rarely unplayable. The greens have beautiful quick surfaces with both severe and subtle borrows.

The clubhouse offers a comfortable and friendly bar and restaurant with an excellent choice of drinks and food at reasonable prices. There is a large outdoor patio with seating (summer),
an upstairs lounge with wide screen Sky Tv and balcony, a full size snooker table is also available for use.

The pro shop has a large selection of golf equipment and clothes, former PGA Captain John Yeo and his son Mark will do all they can to help you.

Tuition can be arranged for groups or individuals from Head PGA Teaching Professional Mark Yeo, who has been teaching all standards from complete beginners to accomplished County players for 12 years.

Surfing:
Links Side Guesthouse is situated in the picturesque town of Bude on the rugged North Cornish coast,close to the Devon border.
.
Not as crowded as Newquay,the region offers waves for the beginner to the most experienced surfers.

Most beaches are patrolled br R.N.L.I lifeguards during the summer months and there are a number of surf schools and activity centres.

Bude has produced several recent successes in the surfing world.
Reubyn Ash (current European junior champion) and his brother joss(2006 Rip Curl English National Champion) were brought up in the surf around Bude.

Mike Raven,former British, English and European surfing champion and Etnies UK team rider,has been surfing the area for over 20 years and knows how to find the best surf for the conditions.
He offers tuition & coaching from individual to groups, all equipment provided,(including winter gear).

Fishing in Bude Cornwall

Sea fishing from the local beaches and rocks around Bude is popular and catches of Bass, Codling, flat fish, mackerel, whiting and dogfish are possible.

A number of boats operate Sea Fishing & Sightseeing trips along the coast up to Lundy island,
where one can often see dolphins, basking sharks and occasionally sunfish.

Coarse fishing is permitted on Bude Canal (Close season 1st April to 31st May).Stocked with carp, tench, rudd, perch and bream. Permits may be obtained from the Bailiff who patrols the canal bank.

South West Lakes Trust manage coarse fisheries and trout fisheries offering stocked rainbow, brown and natural trout.

Walking in Bude Cornwall - Atlantic Heritage Coast

Links Side Guest house is situated just a few minutes away from the dramatic Atlantic Heritage Coast, part of the South West Coastal Footpath.

Ray and Lydia are both keen walkers. Ray has walked the Cotswold Way, the Cleveland Way,
the Wolds Way and the Cumbrian Way.

We are able to offer boot and clothes drying, packed lunches and can arrange for your luggage to be sent on.

We can supply ideas for lots of local walks and time permitting would be pleased to lead walks for you as well.

From an easy stroll, to walking on challenging rugged terrain with steep inclines, walkers
will experience dramatic sea views and amazing geological formations.
From the high cliffs you can often catch a glimpse of dolphins, seals and the occasional basking shark.
From May to July wild flowers, heather and gorse add a blaze of colour to the cliff pathways.

A short drive from Bude are Upper and Lower Tamar lakes.
These two lakes offer a some superb walks in the quiet countryside.There are picnic areas, sailing and fishing. During the season, there is a pleasant tearoom.
