Food:
The preparation of exquisite food at The Idle Rocks (Two AA Rosettes
since 1992) is a well established tradition, born from the rich
availability of Locally-grown Cornish produce, including early season
fruit and vegetables, fresh sea fish and the best quality meats and
poultry.
Dinner at
"The Waters' Edge" Restaurant is a very special occasion. All tastes are
considered in creating the day's choice, in which the specialities of
the season are highlighted in Head chef's irresistible style.
Imaginative Vegetarian dishes are also prepared if required.
Breakfast is
traditional with a touch of flair - smoked trout and scrambled eggs - or
if you prefer, light and continental. And during the day, the "Terrace"
is the ideal place to enjoy lunch or a cream tea in the sunshine as you
watch the world float by.
For those
who prefer high quality food but in less formal surroundings, the On The
Rocks Brasserie (open 10 AM to 10 PM), offers a mouth-watering selection
of dishes for lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea and dinner.
Non-residents are welcome. Dress in the Water’s Edge Restaurant is smart
casual. On The Rocks dress is casual. In summertime, the terrace is the
place to be, with its front row view of the activity on the water.
Food is a serious part of our business and we take great pride in
our talented complement of Chefs, which includes 2 Master Chefs of Great
Britain and a member of the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs.
As a
group, we currently hold 8 AA Rosettes and the longevity of the period
we have held these highly desirable culinary accolades is testimony to
our consistency of standards and quality of cuisine.
All of
our hotels are dedicated to using Locally sourced, quality products
wherever possible, with the focus being of season, taste, flair and
presentation
