The Situation
Heron Cottage dates back to the 18th century and is full of character as a property of this age would suggest.
It is tastefully decorated and furnished in keeping with its age and offers excellent bed & breakfast accommodation.
It is a detached property set in mature gardens in a quiet little valley just 3 miles from Penzance. An ideal location to explore this part of Cornwall or even a stopping off point for a day trip to the Scilly Isles.

Tea/coffee refreshments available on request in both rooms.
Although not en-suite, the guests bathroom adjoins the double bedroom and as there is only an additional single bedroom it is unusual for guests to share except with members of their own  family.

A full English breakfast is served in the dining room or in the garden with various options available on request, including continental or vegetarian.

A comfortable lounge where guests are quite welcome to sit and relax.

Tea and coffee are available in the room.

A local pub just half a mile away (winner of the pub of the year award with good food)
Several other good eating places within 3 mile radius.
Drift Reservoir - ideal for bird watching
Trengwainton Gardens (National Trust) just a short drive.
Numerous local beaches - Sennen, Porthcurno, Marazion etc.
Penzance is the nearest major town just 3 miles away - day trips to the Scilly Isles either by sea or air
Lands End - just a short drive
The famous St Michaels Mount, not to be missed.
The major tourist resort of St Ives, lovely beaches, Tate Gallery, numerous small galleries, quaint cobbled streets.

How to Find Us

Follow the A30 around Penzance bypass until you reach the roundabout that has the sign with ‘St Just A3071’ turn right. Take the St Just road. After about 1 1/2 miles you will be at Tremithick Cross, where you will see the sign to go left for Sancreed. Take this left turn for Sancreed and after approximately 1 mile you will see a sign at the entrance of the road on your left saying ‘no wide vehicles’. Take this road. You will come to Sellan. Continue along this lane for about 1/2 mle and you will come to Heron Cottage on your right.
