Haye
Farm is set on the banks of the River Tamar with direct access
from the farm. Enjoy
the delightful walks around the farm and down to the river.
There are ponds, reed beds and marshes excellent for bird watching.
The variety of birds seen include:-
Egrets, Avocets, Kingfishers, Reed Warblers, Water Rails
and Buzzards. The proprietors are members of the ‘Countryside
Stewardship’ scheme.
Plymouth
City is closeby with its extensive shopping facilities, theatres,
cinemas, museums and the famous aquarium
The
location of Haye farm is ideal as a Touring base from which to
explore both Devon and Cornwall, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor (Jamaica Inn) and the local beaches of
Looe, Polperro, Whitsands and Portwinkle are easily accessible.
National
Trust properties also surround the area.

House
The Tudor home of the Mount Edgcumbe family.
Now looked after by the National Trust.
The
Shamrock Moored
at Cotehele Quay is the only surviving barge.

Mellion Golf Club A
must for the golfing enthusiast.
Pleasure
Boats
cruise the Tamar from Plymouth.
Morwellham
The
busiest inland port in Devon and Cornwall in the 19th
century.
