The Situation
A picturesque little cottage set in rural surroundings modernised to a very high standard but still retaining many of its original features.
Conveniently situated just of the main A390 ideal for Touring the whole of Cornwall.
The Accommodation
An old Cornish 'Cobb' cottage tastefully and sympathically modernised to retain much of its character.

The guests accommodation consists of:

Two double bedrooms each having tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities, a television and radio alarm clock. White cotton bed linen.

Private bathroom.

Comfortable guests lounge with a television

Spacious dining area where a generous full English breakfast is served. Various options including continental also available.

No smoking in the house.

Travelling along the A390 between St Austell and Truro. Three miles from St Austell you will see 'Ivor Toms' garage and car sales on your left. 50 yards beyond this you will see a private road into the right, this is 'Kingsdown Lane'. Enter the lane bearing to the right, Haven Cottage is white with yellow shutters.

Local attractions:

Haven Cottage is located between St Austell and Truro.
Just a few of the popular attractions within a short drive including:
Lost Gardens of Heligan, as seen on television, just 10 minutes away.
The Eden Project, Cornwall's latest major attraction and just 20 minutes away (traffic permitting).
St Austell town - 10 minutes, shopping, multi screen cinema, leisure centre with swimming baths/badminton/squash etc.
Good choice of restaurants/pubs in the surrounding countryside.
Charlestown - 10 minutes, Tall Ships and Maritime Heritage Centre.
Mevagissey - 15 minutes. A picturesque little fishing port. Fishing/boat trips including a ferry to Fowey, excellent views along the coast and the Fowey River estuary.
Beaches - numerous in the area, click on the below link, all are within a short drive.
Truro City - 15 minutes, Magnificent cathedral/excellent shopping. Enjoy a boat trip down the river to Falmouth, a really enjoyable day out. (for those worried about being seasick, the river is never rough, just outstanding views).

Touring
Virtually the whole of Cornwall can be reached within an hour from the cottage.
As a guide:
Newquay - zoo, surfing beaches - 30 minutes
Padstow - picturesque harbour, high speed boat rides, ferry to Rock with long walks along the beach. Very popular in high season.
Falmouth - 40 minutes, Maritime Museum
St.Ives - 45 minutes, Tate gallery, picturesque harbour, beautiful beaches. Very busy.
Lands End - 1 hr. 15 mins.
Penzance - 1 hour, St Michael's Mount, day trips to the Scilly Isles.

Whatever you requirement, be it somewhere nice to visit or that pleasant evening meal your host will be only too pleased to help.
