Locally
Just a short 5 minute walk into the centre of St Mawes. A picturesque village situated at the mouth of the Fal estuary, it offers excellent restaurants/tea rooms/pubs/beautiful coastal walks/various sailing activitities/ a host of boat trips including a passenger ferry to Falmouth.

Just a short drive away are the ancient villages of Gerrans and Portscatho. Archaeological discoveries prove that there have been settlements here since the Bronze Age, nearly 4000 years ago. The church at St. Gerrans is built on what is believed to have been a Celtic foundation dating back to the 6th century. Apart from its historical interest the church deserves a visit for its view. That of Nare Head and the Dodman Point, seen through the churchyard, must rate as one of the best seascapes in Cornwall.
