
Fowey Valley Cottages are locally famous for unique charm and well
maintained landscaped gardens. It boasts one of the largest Palm
trees in the county. We endeavour to provide superb cosy
accommodation in a location perfect for exploring the delights
of Cornwall.
It is only 15 mins drive to one of the Best
beaches in Cornwall (Polkeris) Only 15mins drive to Fowey. Only
the family horses are kept on the farm and guests are encouraged
to visit the stables and walk the fields to appreciate the
stunning views. Also many guests have enjoyed a flight in the
owners plane as a treat. Others have enjoyed a visit to a
special beach (Lantic Bay) which is accessible by foot or by
boat - you walk - we carry beer and barbeque things by Canadian
canoe and have a great time. Summer is for fun and that's what
it is all about.
We have enjoyed 500+ families over the past 7
years and been fully booked. We can organise anything from
sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, walking and even your first
flying lesson or aerobatics. We sometimes do a free hog roast at
our other site which is walking distance away. You can be as
private as you like but if you want to have fun we are here

Hayloft is designed
internally and externally to look and feel
like a SWISS STYLE cottage with solid wood
ceiling and beamed ceilings to bedrooms. The
roof extends over the patio giving a superb
sheltered area to enjoy in any weather
including using the barbeque.
A very special "Hansel
and Gretle" cottage ideal for Honeymooners.
Private hot tub complete with 72 jet and
quadraphonic sound system. Private drive and
garden of about an acre for the exclusive
use of guests.

Swallow Cottage

Swallow is a cosy
cornish cottage with open beamed
ceiling and open plan living area.
It has a private patio area with
garden. It boasts a 72 jet top of
the range 6 person hot tub complete
with fibre optic lighting and
surround sound system. The tub was
new in 2006 and cost £10,000.
Swallow is often chosen by Cornish
Honeymooners.
The cottage was
updated in Sepember 2009 with a
luxury bathroom and an extension to
the bedroom. Oil central heating was
also installed.

Fowey Valley Cottages are situated within a five minute walk of Lanhydrock which is one of the top National Trust
properties. It is accessed off a country lane and is
only a short distance off the main A30. During peak
times the A30 can delay holiday makers for hours but we
are situated a short distance from where the queues
start so you don't have to leave early or arrive late to
avoid the logjams.
Approaching from the North East,
leave the M5 at Exeter, and take the A30 for Okehampton,
continuing on this road until Bodmin is signposted. Take
the Bodmin turning and follow the signs for town centre:
at the mini roundabout located by the Church, turn left
up the hill towards Lostwithiel, (B3268). At the next
mini roundabout turn right signposted Lanivet. Fowey
Valley Cottages cottages are located 1/2 mile on the right.
Approaching from the East on the A38 from Plymouth
through Liskeard to Bodmin, just before approaching the
A30 slip road and Bodmin roundabout, you will see a left
turn signposted Lanhydrock N.T. and Lostwithiel. Turn
left and follow the road straight on until you reach a
mini-roundabout. You will see a Tourist Board brown sign
for Lanhydrock Golf Club at this point. Go straight
across signposted Lanivet. Fowey Valley Cottages cottages are
located 1/2 mile on the right.
Approaching from the South West on the A30, from the
main roundabout follow the sign for the A38 towards
Plymouth, take the second right (Lanhydrock House N.T.
Lostwithiel), follow the road straight on until you
reach a mini-roundabout. You will see the Tourist Board
brown sign for Lanhydrock Golf Club at this point. Go
straight across signposted Lanivet. Fowey Valley
Cottages
cottages are located 1/2 mile on the right.

THE LAPPA
VALLEY STEAM
RAILWAY
runs on one of
the oldest
railway
trackbeds in
Cornwall. Opened
in 1849 as a
mineral line
from Newquay to
East Wheal Rose,
it later became
part of the
Great Western
Railway's
Newquay to
Chacewater
branch line.
This was closed
in 1963, and in
1974 Eric Booth,
the founder of
Lappa Valley,
reopened part of
the line as a
narrow-gauge
railway.

LANHYDROCK HOUSE
Magnificent late
Victorian
country house
with extensive
servants'
quarters,
gardens and
wooded estate.
One of
the most
fascinating and
complete late
19th-century
houses in
England,
Lanhydrock is
full of period
atmosphere.
Although the
gatehouse and
north wing (with
magnificent
32yd-long
gallery with
plaster ceiling)
survive from the
17th century,
the rest of the
house was
rebuilt
following a
disastrous fire
in 1881.
