The famous harbour at Polperro

Local attractions:

Polperro is is an extremely picturesque fishing village with very old fishermen's cottages and narrow streets. A place where visitors tend to return year after year.
There are lovely walks around the harbour and village and up onto the coastal path leading in one direction to nearby Looe.
Excellent local sheltered sandy breaches, an ideal place to relax and have a swim.

Places of interest within an easy drive:
Numerous National Trust Houses and Gardens
The Eden Project
The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Lanhydrock House
Plymouth City with excellent shopping and theatre

After a relaxing day return to a satisfying meal in the licensed restaurant.
Recommended by 'Which Hotel guide'. Local fish is listed on the blackboard, and could include Lobster, Crab, Dover Sole, Brill, Turbot, Skate or Bass, the aim is to have about 8 varieties available. There is also prime westcountry beef, perhaps a sirloin with cream and brandy sauce, or Cornish chicken filled with local crab and served with lobster sauce
There is also a choice of vegetarian dishes and excellent home made desserts.
Main courses are from £12.50p
