The Broadmead Hotel is a select, privately owned hotel of charm
and character, offering a high standard of comfort and personal
service.
Tastefully furnished throughout with a pleasant relaxed
atmosphere, there are twelve individually furnished bedrooms,
each with en-suite bathroom. All have remote control
televisions, tea & coffee making facilities, central heating,
direct dial telephone and radio. There are two ground floor rooms, making them particularly suitable for the less mobile. A quiet non-smoking lounge, TV lounge, licensed bar and private car park. The hotel is delightfully situated overlooking the beautiful Kimberley Park, with its myriad of ever changing colours throughout the seasons, yet just a short stroll from the quayside and shops. The restaurant enjoys an enviable reputation for excellent traditional cuisine, both locally and with visitors. The menu is varied and uses the best local produce where possible and is complemented by a carefully selected range of wines. Special diets are also catered for. Falmouth is really well situated for exploring this region of Cornwall and is well served by bus and train services for getting about. If you come by car, then even the most remote areas are accessible. Within about 45 minutes, you could be in Penzance, Lizard Peninsula, lands End or visiting the Tate Gallery in St Ives. Alternatively, you could visit some of the many wonderful public gardens such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the truly awe inspiring Eden Project whose progress you may have seen on TV during the past year. This is now firmly established as one of the top visitor attractions in the country. Falmouth of course, is well known for its maritime history and is a very popular area for boating and yachting. The twin castles of Falmouth and St Mawes stand proud at the entrance to the Carrick Roads and are well worth a visit. There are many interesting walks in the surrounding area's and in fact the coastal path passes through Falmouth. If you like to spend time on the beach, then you will not be disappointed with our choice of safe sandy beaches, all within one to two miles of the hotel. This part of Cornwall boasts an exceptionally pleasant climate, where it is warm in summer, as you would expect, but is usually very mild in the autumn and winter and not forgetting that spring arrives a little earlier than in other parts of the country. Because of the mild climate, many unusual plants thrive that you would normally associate with the more tropical areas of the world and this gives Falmouth a different 'feel' to that of other coastal resorts. The hotel remains open throughout the year to cater for those who take their holiday during the golden autumn or winter months, during which it can be exceptionally mild in Falmouth. Tariff: Bed &
