Local Gardens: Gardens in Cornwall. List of major

Lost Gardens of Heligan. You may have seen this other recently
restored Cornish garden on its channel four television series or
read it's book. It now has a newly opened web site.
Docton Mill Gardens. Docton Mill Wild Flower Gardens are
situated in North Devon (UK) in a stunning valley, 1000m from
the coast.
The Eden Project. A place to spend the whole day, and to keep
going back to. The Biospheres full of plants and flowers from
around the world. A must to see.
Rosemoor Gardens. Set deep in the lovely North Devon
countryside, RHS Garden Rosemoor has now come of age as a garden
of national importance.
Trebah garden. This garden is the twin of Glendurgan (which has
no web site) sometimes described as one of the worlds most
beautifull gardens. They are sub tropical paradises set in two
sunken river valleys opening onto the Helford river about two
miles from Constantine. They should not be missed if you like
gardens and are easily combined with the beach.
Trevarno GardensDo not miss a visit to the historic Trevarno
Estate where you can explore the magnificent gardens, grounds
and Woodland walks which date back to 1246.
English Heritage. This web site has information on many of the
major ancient sites of interest in England including such
Cornish sites as Tintagel, suggested home of King Arthur! Did
you know the whole English Heritage movement was started by the
destruction of the Tolmen rock, a large freestanding granite
boulder the size of a small house, by quarry workers from
Constantine where many of our homes are situated.
Lanhydrock. The great house of Cornwall. 'Upstairs Downstairs'
brought to life.
Pencarrow House and Gardens. A Georgian House belonging to the
Molesworth - St Aubyn Family.

The Otter Sanctuary is the world's leading Otter conservation
organisation, the only place in the West Country breeding the
British Otter regularly and reintroducing young otters into the
wild to save the otter from extinction.

Bike Hire Tarka Trail Cycles and helmets may be hired from
outlets at Barnstaple, Bideford, Instow and Fremington Quay.
The Camel Trail - Wadbridge to Padstow. Fabulous views and
wonderful birdlife make this section of the Camel Trail a
delight at any time of year. Cycle hire from Ridgeback bikes,
suitable for all.
Horse Riding: Gooseham Riding Stables
Walking: Walk part of the spectacular South West Coast path or
our circular Parish walks, five of which you can start from the
doorstep taking in the local countryside and Tamar Lake.
Fishing: Coarse fishing - Bude Canal and Tamar Lake.
