The rooms are equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and a television is optional. There is a separate guests lounge with television where guests are quite welcome to sit and relax. A full English breakfast is served with various options available. This can be taken in the dining room or outside on the veranda, weather permitting. An excellent pub with good meals just a short walk away. The nearest beach is at Lelant, Porth Kidney Beach, a lovely expanse of soft sand, offering safe bathing and because it is out of the St Ives town area, never gets busy. Wheal Merth could not really be better placed for touring the whole of West Cornwall. The popular resort of St Ives is just 6 miles away, or why not avoid the traffic and parking, call in locally to the Lelant Rail Station and catch a train right into the town, it is one of the most scenic journeys in the country. Hayle, with all its fantastic beaches all the way around to Godrevy is just 3 miles. Marazion and Penzance are only a short drive making this an ideal location for an overnight stop before going to the Scilly Isles. Most of Cornwall can be reached within an hour’s drive, places such as the Eden Project are well within the hour. Your hosts are local to the area and will be only too please to suggest that nice place to visit or a good restaurant or pub.
