A family run Guest house at Carbis Bay near St Ives. Just a short walk down the hill is the stunning Carbis beach, within easy reach of other beaches & St Ives town centre.
Most of our rooms are on the first floor & we don’t have a lift. Please advise us prior to booking if you feel there is anything we should know to ensure your comfort and safety during your stay. We carry one cot and one high chair in stock, please advise us at the time of booking if you require either.
We offer free off road parking for up to three standard sized vehicles. However there is plenty of other on road parking very close by. If your vehicle is larger than normal, i.e. large 4x4s, we cannot guarantee the parking will be suitable.
Honeycrisp Room A triple room with a sea view, large bay window and large bathroom. This room contains a double bed plus a single bed.
Cortland Rooms Three double rooms. All with sea glimpses and en suite shower rooms.
Gala Room A single room with sea glimpse
and en suite shower room.
Pacific Rose A twin room with sea glimpse and an en suite shower room.
Granny Smith A quad room on the ground floor, with a private entrance and good sized shower room. This room contains a double bed plus two single beds. This is also our pet friendly room.
Cornwall is a stunning part of England & St Ives is the perfect base from which to explore further. The beaches in & around St Ives are lovely with their golden sands. Most have friendly cafes for snacks or meals. The town has a great collection of shops, from surf & lifestyle clothing to modern art galleries. It also boasts some wonderful dining experiences from bakers to fine dining restaurants. There are also some lovely coastal walks in the local area
By car, from the A30 follow the signs to St Ives on the A2074. You will then meet two small roundabouts. At the first one drive staright on - 1st exit and at the second one turn right - 3rd exit. You will then drive through the small village of Lelant. The next village is Carbis Bay. Penlee is about 75 metres on the left hand side, after the Costcutter supermarket and pedestrian crossing. Turn left into Polmennor Drive to pull in and unload.
By train, change at St. Erth onto the St. Ives branch line and then disembark at Carbis Bay. On leaving the station car park walk straight up the hill to the main road and turn right at the top. Penlee is approximately 100 metres along on the far side of the road. If you would prefer transport from the station please let us know in advance and we will prebook a taxi.
