The village of Stithians is situated in a rural location between the Cathedral City of Truro, the historic port of Falmouth and the traditional Cornish towns of Helston and Redruth. Stithians is a thriving community with many local facilities including good pubs, shops, butchery and doctor's surgery. The village boasts Stithians Lake with its excellent water sports, fishing and nature trails.
Tregolls Cottage has 4 letting bedrooms - 1 family room, 2 doubles and 1 twin.
We offer a homecooked full English breakfast (with free range eggs laid on the farm!) and evening meals by arrangement.
Tregolls Cottage has its own smallholding which includes 150 laying hens; sheep; ducks; peacocks; home grown vegetables and a 'pets corner' including rabbits.
Tregolls Cottage is ideally situated to explore the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. The busy port of Falmouth (15 minutes away) offers stunning beaches, water sports, leisure and fishing. Main attractions include Pendennis Castle and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall. A little further afield, the impressive tropical biomes of the Eden Project are just a 45 minute drive away, as are the fishing ports of Padstow and St Ives. There are many National Trust properties to visit with the gardens of Glendurgan and Trelissick the closest to Tregolls Cottage (approx 20min drive).
From the A30, turn left onto the A39 signposted to Truro. Follow the A39 through Truro, Playing Place, Carnon Downs and Perranarworthal where the road becomes dual carriage-way. Keep on this road to the Treluswell double roundabout - turn right, signposted Ponsanooth and follow this road through the village of Ponsanooth itself. Approximately 1 1/2 miles out of the village, turn left at the cross roads, signposted Stithians, continue through the 'S' bends and you will find Tregolls Cottage on the left hand side.
