A lovely detached house set in its own grounds in a picturesque rural setting in the delightful Tamar Valley. The whole area has some lovely country walks down secluded footpaths stretching along the River Tamar, the two views below are just an example of what is available in this largely undiscovered part of Cornwall.
Two large bedrooms, a double and a twin. Both equipped with television and tea/coffee making facilities. Bath robes are provided as each has its own adjoining private bathroom. This is equipped with bath, shower, toilet and wash facilities. A full English breakfast is served in the dining area. Various options are available including vegetarian and continental. A three course evening meal can be provided by arrangement. Your host is an excellent cook providing good 'country cooking'. Local fresh produce is used where-ever possible. Access to rooms at all times. Ample private parking. Strictly non smoking. I am sorry, there are no facilities for pets.
Enjoy lovely walks down footpaths leading down to the River Tamar (maps available). Although Penhaye is in a lovely rural location, in Cornwall most places are within easy reach.
The city of Plymouth with the Roscoff Ferry, excellent shopping and boat trips at the Barbican is only a 20 minute drive across the River Tamar. The famous St Mellion Golf Course is only a 10 minute drive. Local National Trust properties include: Cotehele House - 15 mins Saltram House - 30 mins Morwellham Quay - 30 mins Lanhydrock House - 45 mins Both Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are just a 30 minute drive away. Going slightly further afield the Eden Project is just under the hour. The beautiful Rame Peninsula with a host of beaches, coves and headlands is only a short drive.
Your host is local to the area having farmed land overlooking the River Tamar for many years, she will be only too please to suggest places of interest or that good walk
