LOCATION

Melvill House is situated about 200 yards from a beautiful sandy beach and a short walk from Falmouth harbour, waterfront shops, pubs and restaurants.

ACCOMMODATION

The non smoking bedrooms are all en-suite with baths and/or shower. There is a choice of double, twin or family rooms with views of the sea or harbour. All bedrooms have central heating, television and tea/coffee making facilities. Ground floor rooms available.
Breakfast is served in our spacious dining room. A selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts and cereals as well as traditional home cooked breakfasts are served.
A comfortable sitting room is there to enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, or use books and games, consult guides and brochures about the area.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Safe sandy beaches. Pendennis Castle. A good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, Leisure Centre, Arts Centre, boat and fishing trips, golf course, water ski-ing, sailing, wind surfing, scuba diving. Excellent coastal walks from the house. Falmouth is a good base to explore further afield: The Roseland and Lizard peninsulars. Local gardens at Trelissick, Glendurgan and Trebah. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within an hour's drive. Truro city with its magnificent cathedral just a 20 minute drive.

DIRECTIONS

We suggest the A30 from Exeter across the Bodmin Moor and picking up signs for Truro. At Truro follow the main road and Falmouth is well signposted. On entering Falmouth follow signs for Station and Beaches. This enters into Dracaena Avenue. Follow over two roundabouts into Melvill Road, we are a short distance on the left soon after Fox Rosehill Gardens.

Your hosts have many ideas for trips and visits for all ages:

Plays at the Minack open air theatre. Blue guide excursions to Celtic historical sites. Cornish gardens through the seasons.
