Porthmeor Beach
This is St Ives main surfing beach and more open to the prevailing winds and Atlantic rollers. Faces N/N/West and therefore sheltered from the prevailing West or S W gales making it a favourite when these winds are blowing and the rest of the north coast is blown out.
Good sand quality.
Blue flag award winner
Good surfing when conditions permit, suitable for beginners to intermediate, gets very busy during high season.
Lifeguard service during the summer months
Parking available at Barnoon car park just above the beach
