Just to the east of Trevose Head is Harlyn Bay. The
beach is just under a mile long of sand and pebbles
backed by sand dunes which in turn are backed by
cliffs. Access to the beach is through Harlyn
Village.
Surfing – when the surf is big on west facing
beaches and the prevailing southwestly is blowing,
Harlyn will provide some of the best surf in
Cornwall.
Like all north coast beaches a certain amount of
caution should be exercised due to perhaps crowds,
hollow waves breaking in the shallows, rocks, and
there can be rip currents at high tide.
Just obey the Lifeguard instructions and you wont go
far wrong.
Parking: Large car park
Toilets: Yes
Facilities: Shop
Dogs: Strangely enough this is a dog friendly beach,
keep on a lead.
Lifeguard: Yes, during the summer months
