Gorran Haven beach:
Great Penhaver Beach

There are two village beaches that are joined at low tide:

They boast soft golden sand and are amongst the safest in the county.  The beaches are very popular with locals and visitors alike and can get very busy at weekends in high summer.

The beach shelves very gently and because it is protected from the prevailing wind by the 400 feet high Dodman Point it is usually very calm.

The main beach is also sheltered by a stone quay from which angling trips are available, or just fish from the quay itself.  Bass, mackerel and pollock are the favoured species.

Parking:  Available in a large field car park just a short walk from the beach.

Toilets:  Yes

Dogs:   Permitted

No lifeguard services

Cafe and shops available
