Tourist Information
A tiny picturesque little fishing village with a
cluster of thatched cottages and 2 shingle beaches.
In the 19th century this was an extremely busy

fishing is still continued, but on a much smaller
scale.
The local boats can still be seen being drawn up
onto the beach.
Separating the two coves is ‘The Todden’, a grass
covered rocky outcrop.
A walk to ‘Little Cove’ leads to ‘Devils Frying
Pan’, a collapsed cave that fills at high water.
There are two small shingle/pebble beaches, east
beach and west beach. One is primarily used for the
boats, the other for bathing. Dogs are permitted on
the east beach but banned from Easter to Oct. 1st.
on the west beach.
Facilities in this little village include, toilets,
grocery store for essential shopping, gift shops,
pubs, restaurants.
There is a car park at the entrance to the village
which is just a short walk down the hill.
