A
popular resort town that attracts many return visitors. The centre
is full of shops of all shapes and sizes highlighted by the wide
range of architecture. Just a short distance from the centre is the
sea front, harbour, rail/coach station, tourist information centre
and car park. A wide choice of hotels and guest houses can be found
on the sea front or in the adjacent little side roads. The town is
also the main centre for day trips to the Isles of Scilly, either on
the Scillonian III ferry or by helicopter.
